Hi, My name is Louise. I have Crohn’s Disease.
I’ve not had it for all that long but it feels like forever, because every week, every day, there is potentially something new that is going on or going wrong. Trying to catch up wit this bitch is hard hard work. It is exhausting.
I have what is called a Imflamatory Bowel Disease. Please do not confuse this with IBS, IBD is completely different and requires completely individually focused treatment to calm the beast down. Currently, I am medication free because of outstanding tests. Hoping that today I find answers and can start a new regime soon.
I strive to be an educator whilst living with IBD. I strive to help those around me when in need, I aim to spread awareness by being there for people who would have normally being isolated and afraid to communicate and express their fears and hopes whilst living with IBD. I want to do good in the community! I want to help! I want to live my life the best way I know how whilst trying my best to avoid further problems and complications because of my disease. I look for new challenges in spite of my Cronhs; but it wasn’t always like that, it took a long time to get to a point where I wanted to help, not just suffer in my own miserable mind.
I think HAWMC is a great way to achieve some of this. It allows a certain sort of freedom that isn’t easy to come by, but it is a step in the right direction.
For those who are new to a treatment called Humira (Anti TNF) here are all my posts – trials and tribulations if you will – whilst on it for all of last year: http://youngcrohns.wordpress.com/category/anti-tnf/
