Weeklies & Monthlies

all posts on what occurs weekly – High Five Friday and Plans for the Week Ahead

January 2017

This month I’ve been quietly dealing with my own version of the January blues. I don’t tend to get depressed too much this time of year, especially when I’ve been feeling so well. But I think it’s somewhat due to the fact that I’ve been feeling so well that I feel sad. Which is twisted and I’ve been struggling how to process it and whether or not I should be talking about it. Should this blog be positive things only, helping others to get through surgeries and how to live with a chronic illness? Would I be doing myself and…

Plans for the Week Ahead – Ep. 12

Another quiet week… maybe? This week I have so much I need to get started; at the very least. These include: several regular blog posts, a couple of new ones, some videos to record, job hunting, CV updating, lots of cooking and some much needed baking. I am home alone this week – Ben is back in Leicester training – so I have my evenings to myself; my meal planning this week is “meals for one” which I hope are healthy or at least well balanced. It also means I get time to just be me, at my own pace…

High Five Friday – January 27th

Work, work, work… This week started with getting my office completed. We took a trip to Ikea and got my new desk chair – so very very comfy – passing through PC World on the way home to grab my new software. Yep, I’m all softwared and teched for a while. I did get to do my meal planning for the week and get out to…

Plans for the Week Ahead – Ep. 11

A week with no appointments! Monday Ben won’t have gone back to Academy or working with his mentor so we are planning a movie and some shopping in a new place. We’ve gotten quite addicted to Pokémon Go – yes, we are adults and enjoying Pokémon, and what? It gets us out walking and talking about something new.. gotta roll with it! – and its nice to go out on a day when its not so busy with people around like the weekend. The only draw back for having a new job that is weekdays 9-5. Tuesday I have got…

High Five Friday – January 20th

With the highs, come the lows This week started with a delightful breakfast in a new café in town! Always a good start, eh? I got to spend the weekend with Ben and relax after my big project last week concluded. I must say it’s definitely confusing when youre tiredness doesn’t hit you straight away; I ended up with a cold (again) and the headache from hell on Tuesday, so much that I haven’t been able to leave the house for a couple days. Despite that, here is a wonderful shot of Lichfield from my #uncomingbigproject : On Monday I…
